Programming Language Community Forums Update 10/22/11
Hello all PLCF Users!
Once again, it is great to be talking to you about our latest change! As of today, I have already put in a few features, and it is just the morning!
The most useful of them is the new "Newsletter" feature! I have made a group which makes it easier for me to send all PLCF users Newsletters. This was a feature that was actually added yesterday, and I used for the first time as well. If you checked your inbox and saw a message about Profile flags and the new PLCF rules, then that means that this feature is working, if you didn't see this, report it to me A.S.A.P.!
Piggybacking off of the rules, I created another new feature! All new users will automatically receive a Private Message from me welcoming them onto the forums! If you want to read it, look at the spoiler posted below...

- Hello Guest!
Welcome to the Programming Language Community Forums (also
known as the PLCF)! I am David B, the administrator of the PLCF! On
behalf of the PLCF staff, and all of our members, I would like to
welcome you on board! The PLCF is a place for discussion of all things
programming; a place where you can share cool code, ask questions,
answer questions, and do much more!
The PLCF is a great place for anyone that has a passion for
programming, but unfortunately, there are users out there that
purposely try to ruin the PLCF experience for others by spamming,
criticizing, and performing other intolerable activities. These types of
users are never members for long, and sooner or later, can expect to be
banned. The PLCF has six staff members, myself included, looking out
for the wellfare of its users. As a new member, I would highly suggest
that you read the PLCF Rules.
This will ensure that you are aware of what you can and cannot do on
the PLCF. These rules will change every once in a while, and when they
do change, you will recieve and Private Message that states that they
have changed, and a link to the revised rules will be provided.
After you look over the rules, you are ready to go! If you
don't feel like reading over the rules right now, and are anxious to
dive into the world of the PLCF, there is only one rule that you need to
follow: All new members of the PLCF are required to make a thread
introducing themselves in the "Introduce Yourself!"
forum. Users that fail to do this before posting will receive three
reminders, and if they are ignored, the user's warnings status will
continue to drop until the banning point is reached.
I believe the covers everything! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me! You can also check out our FAQ!
