Web Browser Argument

Because this topic was split from another topic, the following quote comes from another thread.

haha. That cracked me up. Firefox isn't a video game it doesn't have better Graphics... lmao.

Anyways Firefox isn't as good of a browser than IE in my opinion. Besides if I wasn't content with my web browser, wouldn't I just get to work in VC# and program my own (yes I would, it would take me less than a 10 minutes just to get the bare minimum!)

It does have better graphics. Here's a little fun thing for you to do.



1. Check out the Les Paul Google Doodle in Internet Explorer.

2. Download Firefox & Install it.

3. Look at the same Doodle in Firefox. See the difference?

Yes they do except the correct terminology is redering quality not graphics.

Anyway, please do not go into some geek war over web browsers or anything of the like they annoy me.

I've heard of Acid3 testing before. I would have used it in my rebuttal if I had remembered about its exsistance at the time of that posts writing. Oh well, what's done is done. I can edit the post, but it isn't worth it now. As you might have guessed, there is an Acid1 and an Acid2 test also.



Don't worry. We won't go into some "geeky web browser war." Besides, if that happens, I can just split it off into its own thread, or better yet, delete these posts alltogether. Unless the original creator of this thread asks otherwise, I will leave everything as is. Let's get this thread back on topic, and if it goes off again, I will split the off-topic posts into their own thread.

@legolizard, IE9 failed horribly FYI, IE8 pwns, and IE7 is good too, but it's kind of ancient. Plus my homeschool doesn't run on IE9

@DavidB, again, I'm an internet explorer, the little firefox circling the globle is cool and all but... yeah.

Anyways I'm sure anybody here would just make there own browser if they where un satisfied with their browser. (In fact, I just might do that in C#)

If you do make your own, please post it when you are done! I would like to see it!



P.S.: As a mod, you can split it off into its own topic yourself, but I will do it this time on my own.

lol obviously he's using Windows. Hence the name 'Windows Internet Explorer'.

As far as what kind of windows I'm guessing windows 7, because of the background of his IE9 GUI window.

Edit: Either it's my computer, which doesn't even have 1 gig of RAM or it's IE8, but I got 14/100 on the Acid3 test

Nighthawk are you using Win7? You see IE9 was designed for Win7 and is thus very fast on it. However on vista/XP it is painfully slow.

This is IE 8 on my old computer...

I'm on XP. Also, that wasn't IE9. That was IE8. But again, I don't even have a gigabybe of RAM which is VERY sad... so sad it makes me cry ->

Also, DB what OS are you on, because the GUI visual style looks ancient. What is that like, Windows 98 or something (don't know what it looks like though, maybe you just changed your theme)

Anyways I want Win7 because it is plain beastness. Also there is Windows 8 out but I don't know much about it.

Yes I did notice, and thank you, but I was going to add some later on. Unfortunately, I am going to change them, but they will be good for the time being.

alright. Also, you where right. I just tested out Firefox, scored 100/100 on the Acid3 test, and I run a lot faster and like this browser better.
