Programming Language Community Forums Update 1/27/12

Hello David B!

As promised, tonight brings a wide array of changes! I would like to start off by announcing that the limit to the number of attachments per post has been increased from 1 to 10!

In addition to the upload limit per post being increased, we have also taken care of another issue involving file attachments on the "Forum News" forum. Somewhere along the way, when this forum when the PLCF was literally a newborn (I am serious! When the "Forum News" forum was made, the forum has only existed for about 15 minutes!), and I was setting up the permissions for the forum, I had apparently made the mistake of denying members the ability to download attachments from this forum. Thankfully, the problem was just recently caught by ESF Staff, the newest member of the PLCF as of this writing, and was fixed instantly!

And now for an update on our Facebook page which has been experiencing technical difficulties.:
About a week ago, I announced that we have been having problems with our Facebook page, and for some strange reason, it keeps getting unpublished, so today, before rattling of a letter to Facebook about the issue (as I promised I was going to do in that post), I decided to change my mind, and give it one more shot. If this attempt is a success, than I will leave Facebook alone, but it should it fail again, I will then report the problem to Facebook.
Speaking of Facebook, I am excited to announce a minor change to its URL, which was originally accessible by this easy-to-remember URL → https://www.facebook.com/pages/Programming-Language-Community-Forums/223279327728806?ref=ts. While our Facebook page is still accessible from this URL, I am excited to announce that you can now access our Facebook page at this much-easier-to-remember URL → https://www.facebook.com/ProgrammingLanguageForums!
