/! Standard C++ Compiler for the PLCF /!
Hello David B, and welcome to the PLCF C++ forum!
I would like to take a moment and explain the purpose of this thread. As some of you may know C++ is a language that requires a compiler to build programs. Because C++ is the most popular language on this forum as of this writing, I felt it may be necessary to set a standard for the compiler used on this forum for multiple reasons.
1.) All compilers build programs differently, and conflicting compilers may be a problem.
2.) It eliminates the question, "What compiler do you use?"
3.) It helps lessen the chance of errors occurring.
So, with this in mind, let's get into discussing what the standard compiler is going to be. The standard compiler that I wish to use is Code::Blocks. While I do not care about which version it is that you use, I recommend version 10.05. 10.05 is recommended because, as of this posting, it is the most recent. Attached to this thread in zipped folders are the installation files for Code::Blocks 10.05 for Windows, Mac, and Ubuntu, however, if you do not use Windows, Mac, or Ubuntu, or want to use a new version of Code::Blocks, you can choose from the Code::Blocks download list, which is located here.
If you do not wish to use Code::Blocks as your compiler, I request that you please list your compiler in your posts so that we may know what it is that you use.
I believe that about covers everything that I have to say. If you have any questions, please contact me via a private message (preferred method of contact) or through e-mail at contact@programminglanguageforums.com!

IF YOU BECOME AWARE OF A NEW VERSION OF CODE::BLOCKS, PLEASE PRIVATE MESSAGE ME, AND I WILL UPDATE THE STANDARDS FOR THE OFFICIAL PLCF COMPILER ACCORDINGLY! THANKS!
